Voting Question: buying a car in mass that needs to be inspected in rhode island; what if it fails inspection?
So, I want to buy a car that is being sold out of MA from a small dealership, but since I live in Rhode Island I will have to get it inspected here. Does the dealer do all of this, or do I do this? Also, if I’m the one who has to get it inspected (which i really don’t mind doing considering I’d be able to go to my mechanic) what if it fails inspection? I’m not really sure how this all works and it is a hole in the wall place so I do not want to be stuck with a car that’s a lemon (the mass lemon law apparently doesnt apply when you are registering it in Rhode Island. Thanks in advance for ANY feedback.
