Resolved Question: Does the ‘Lemon Law’ apply to cars being sold from private dealers?? HELP?

I’m going to make an offer to someone whose selling a Jeep. He buys cars from auctions (I think government police auctions but I’m not too sure), and then sells them on his own. He doesn’t work for a dealer, he is completely buy himself. Does the Lemon Law apply to situations like this?? If I find something wrong with it after I purchase it that he didn’t tell me I would like him to pay for it. Please let me know.
Thank you, he does have the Carfax History Report and he does have the title, I’m almost certain it’s in his name but I’m not 100% positive since I haven’t seen it in person, but he did say that he has the title.
