Open Question: Do I qualify for the lemon law?

I bought a PT Cruiser from a Kia dealership and it came with a 3 year warranty. The transmission is making a loud clunking when going into reverse and the dealership is saying that I owe 50% of the bill. I haven’t had the vehicle for 3 months yet and the car is an 06′
