Car Lemon Law header image 2

Voting Question: How does a CV joint break? Bad driving or Mechanical issue?

Hello! My car is at Ford right now. I bought a Focus with 32,000 miles form an independant dealer. THANKFULLY I bought an extended warranty at time of purchase. Turns out car was in an accident and had $7,000 in work in less than 15,000 miles. New transmisson, bearings, ac unit, air bag and sensor, ect. Lemon law wouldn’t allow me to return it, needs to be same problem three times. Yikes. Anyway, It is at Ford again now… I believe it is a bad CV joint. I am anxious to find if this will be covered under my purchased warranty. I know I know, only they can tell me. Regardless, is a bad CV joint from “bad driving” maybe hitting something (we had 24 inches of snow recently, maybe I hit something and didn’t realize it?) Or is this more of a mechanical issue? Less than 55,000 miles. Long question, I know. Thanks in advance. : )
Thanks… wasn’t sure if it was something I did or not! This car ended up being a DISASTER. I am SO happy I bought the $1,200 warranty. Over $7,000 in repairs has cost me less than $400. What a nightmare.
